The
Union Transportation Company
operated over a former PRR line called the Pemberton & Hightstown until March 31, 1977. It had been the last stand for PRR steam during the 1950's and soldiered on with a leased PRR 44 tonner, originally numbered 9353 and renumbered 9999 in Penn Central days. I followed the train from New Egypt to Shrewsbury Road on June 26, 1969.
First class mail includes shipping in a clear sleeve, sandwiched between two new pieces of corrugated cardboard.
