SOUTHERN RAILWAY FREIGHT - RR PHOTO CD
This is a PHOTO CD containing 167 color images from slides of freight cars of the Southern Rwy. These photos were taken from the early 1960s until the early 1990s.
See many assorted freight cars from the unique and innovative roster of equipment as operated by the Southern Railway.
Models represented include: Articulated aluminum hopper car set, Tank cars, Insulated Box Cars of several types, "Silversides" hoppers, "Big John"
covered hopper, 60' boxcars of several types and paint schemes, Tobacco
Hogshead cars in both the "peaked" roof and "flat" roof styles, All-Door cars in three versions, 40' and 50' boxcars of several types and paint schemes, 40' and 50' roof-hatch boxcars, 86' Hi-Cube boxcars in 5 different paint schemes, Stock cars, Transformer cars, Chlorine Container cars,  gondolas, Steel coil cars, several types of Hopper cars including permanently coupled pairs, Twin, Triple and Quad Covered Hoppers, 65' Bulkhead car, Wood Chip cars, Articulated Piggy-Back car, "Autoguard" box car, plus many more interesting cars.
The images are presented in JPEG format and are compatible with Macs and PCs. The CDs are also playable on many recent DVD players.
Image resolution is 200 ppi and the image width is 2000 pixels. The images have been color and exposure corrected, straightened and centered, and had obvious film defects and dust removed. No extreme cropping or editing has been performed.
