Description

This is for a rare genuine Mercedes W123 coupe door window seal made in Germany. This is
the seal located on the outside top of the door sill that rests against the glass. These have been NLA from Mercedes for a long time. They made a short run of these later that were made in Spain that were subpar. They subbed out their valve cover gaskets as well and those are just as bad. These are the German made rails. There is a big difference.
There are also lots of copies of these being made that aren't shaped right, don't fit right, squeak and drag against the glass, and have to be glued because the dimensions are too far off. There is no such thing as gluing these seals. Everything is a press fit exactly as designed. Some R107 and W114 owners have been able to use these as well.
The other big difference with OE German seals is the quality of Mercedes rubber compound. It's the reason your original seals

30+ years

W123 production facts. Your coupe is rarer than you might think.
For the 300CD they only made 8,007 turbos for North America plus
7,502 non-turbo in all markets. These are rare cars. It's why y
ou can drive around a major city and never see another one. A
fter 35+ years I'd be surprised if 1/2 of them still exist and 1/4 are still on the road. Get your coupe sorted out and when the market wakes up(see bringatrailer) to what these are you'll make it all back if you ever sell it.
