Description
"It is with particular pride and great satisfaction that we look back on our association's forty-year past, for it has not only existed during this long series of years, but also has grown and bent like a tree on solid ground, so that it currently has more members than ever before. At the end of the year on June 30, 1908, the total number was 876, after 132 new members had joined within twelve months, a greater increase than ever before. How many other German American associations can boast of such advancing growth?...We have been fighting fearlessly and faithfully for the personal freedom and independence of our adoptive Fatherland."Deutscher Pionier-Verein
